Community Rules

Introduction

We at Yliway believe that every user has the right to use the services of the platform in complete safety, and the duty to behave responsibly. Therefore, we are committed to keeping the platform free of any kind of offensive behaviour and inappropriate content.

The following guidelines govern the sharing of content on Yliway. 

Bullying and harassment

We encourage our users to express different points of view during their online conversations, as long as civil and respectful behaviour is maintained, so as to create a positive and collaborative environment.

You may not post content, or engage in conduct, with the purpose of intimidating or harassing other users. Such behaviour includes [but is not limited to]: implicit or explicit threats, unwanted sexual advances, or posting other people's private information without their consent (doxxing).

A higher level of criticism is of course allowed towards public figures than is acceptable towards private citizens, but discriminatory and violent content will be removed.

Incitement to hatred

It is not permitted to discriminate, exclude, demonise or attack individuals and groups of people on the basis of characteristics including [but not limited to] race, ethnicity, nationality, religious affiliation, gender, sexual orientation, serious illness or disability, employment status, immigration status, age. 

Do not use disparaging terms based on these characteristics.

Violent language

You may not publish violent threats directed at individuals or groups of people. You may not incite others to commit violent acts, or celebrate violent acts committed by yourself or others.

Violent organisations and affiliated individuals

It is not permitted to publish content supporting terrorist, criminal or hate organisations or individuals affiliated with them.

Violent and explicit images 

It is not permitted to publish content of a violent nature, including [but not limited to] images depicting severe injuries where viscera are visible, mutilated human bodies, torture, murder. It is not permitted to publish images depicting animal abuse.

Some images depicting visible entrails of humans and animals may be permitted if shared in a medical-scientific or documentary context, and in dedicated rooms or courses. 

Nudity and pornography

It is not permitted to publish images depicting human bodies in which sexual organs (primary or secondary) are visible, or human beings engaged in any kind of sexual activity.

Sexually explicit language is not permitted.

Some images depicting human bodies of naked adult individuals may be permitted if shared in a medical-scientific, documentary, or artistic context, and in dedicated rooms or courses. 

Sexual exploitation of minors

You may not post content depicting any kind of sexual activity with, or between, minors. You may not solicit such images or promote any form of sexual abuse of minors.

At Yliway we have a zero tolerance policy towards such behaviour. Users who violate these rules will have their accounts permanently suspended and will be reported to the police.

Suicide, self-harm and eating disorders

You may not post content depicting acts of suicide or self-harm. You may not encourage others to commit suicide or self-harm, or solicit or share instructions to commit suicide or self-harm. Nor is it permitted to share content that positively describes any type of eating disorder

Illegal or regulated products and services

It is not permitted to buy, sell or promote the use of drugs (regardless of legal status in the relevant jurisdiction), alcohol, tobacco products, counterfeit goods or weapons. It is not permitted to offer or solicit sexual services of any kind, regardless of legal status in the relevant jurisdiction.

Truthfulness of personal information

Yliway facilitates interactions between professionals. We therefore ask users to register with their real name and authentic credentials.

It is not permitted to create false profiles or impersonate others, or to share false information about one's level of education, professional qualifications, work experience and achievements.

Misleading content

It is not permitted to promote conspiracy theories with a high risk of causing acts of violence. It is not permitted to share misleading medical information that contradicts the general consensus of the scientific community.

It is not allowed to share deepfakes or AI-generated content with the intention of spreading fallacious and misleading information.

Spam and other malicious activity

You may not send spam to other users, spread malware or use malicious software to obtain sensitive information of other users (phishing). You may not use any of Yliway's services or features to organise scams against other users.

In the event of a breach of these rules, YLIWAY reserves the right to inform the user, suspend content pending verification, and notify the Judicial Authority in cases provided for by law.
